Detailed Project Description
In this activity, students, organized in groups of 3 to 5, will become true "number hunters"! Each group will receive a table with natural numbers less than 100, arranged randomly. The students' mission will be to organize these numbers in ascending and descending order, and then make comparisons between them, identifying which number is the greatest, the smallest, or if they are equal.
Required Materials
- A3 paper sheets or cardboard
- Pencils, erasers, rulers, and colored markers
- Glue
- Scissors
- Table with natural numbers less than 100 (each table should contain 25 numbers, from 1 to 99, arranged randomly)
Detailed Step-by-Step for Activity Execution

Group Formation: Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group will receive a table with natural numbers less than 100.

Organization of Numbers: Each group should cut out the numbers from the table and glue them on their A3 paper or cardboard, in an order they consider random.

Sorting Numbers: After gluing all the numbers, the students should organize them in ascending order (from smallest to largest) and in descending order (from largest to smallest), writing the sequences below the numbers. For example, if the number 10 is below 5, the students should write "10, 5" below those numbers.

Number Comparison: Now comes the most fun part! The students, in each sequence they wrote, should compare the numbers, identifying which is the greatest, the smallest, or if they are equal. They should mark the greatest number with one color, the smallest with another color, and the equal ones with a third color.

Presentation of Results: Each group will present to the class their "Treasure Hunt of Numbers", explaining how they organized the numbers, how they made the comparisons, and which numbers they found in each category (greater, smaller, equal).
