One of them is prefixes, which are small words that we add to the beginning of other words to change their meaning. Cool, right?

In this project, we will focus on two very important negation prefixes: 'in-' and 'im-'. Have you seen these little letters before? They are like superheroes that help transform words. When we use 'in-' or 'im-' before a word, we are saying that it is the opposite of what it was before. For example, if we have 'happy' and add 'in-' in front, we have 'unhappy', which means the opposite of happy.

Introduction

The prefixes 'in-' and 'im-' are very similar and it's easy to confuse them, but each has its own rules. 'In-' is used before words that start with 'b', 'm', or 'p'. 'Im-' is used before words that start with 'm' or 'p'. For example, we have 'inactive' (which is the opposite of active) and 'immortal' (which is the opposite of mortal).
