Project Objective
The objective of this project is to allow students to explore and learn more about Songs and Chants, while developing essential skills such as communication, creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Project Description
Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5, will be invited to choose a Song or Chant of their preference. They should then research the origin and meaning of the song, and prepare a creative presentation for the class, where they will sing the song and share what they have learned.
Necessary Materials
- Internet access or research books
- Paper and pencil for notes
- Musical instruments (if available)
- Clothing and props for the presentation (optional)
Step by Step

Choosing the Song or Chant: Each group should choose a Song or Chant they like. It can be a children's song, a pop song, a traditional chant, or any other that is suitable for their age.

Research: After choosing the song, the groups should research its origin and meaning. They can use the internet, books, or ask for help from adults.

Preparing the Presentation: With the collected information, the groups should prepare a presentation for the class. The presentation should include the song, an explanation of the origin and meaning of the song, and any other interesting information they have discovered during the research.

Rehearsal: After preparing the presentation, the groups should rehearse the song several times until everyone is comfortable with the lyrics and melody.

Presentation: Finally, the groups should present their song and research to the class. They can sing a cappella (without musical accompaniment), or if they prefer, they can play musical instruments or use recordings.
At the end, the groups should submit a short written report, where they will record the information collected during the research, the process of preparing the presentation, and the skills they developed during the project.
