For example, the verb to love is regular, since it forms the past tense by adding -ed, as in loved. The verb to go is irregular, since it forms the past tense differently, as in went.

Detailed Description of the Project:

In this activity, you will embark on an exciting treasure hunt! But don't worry, you don't have to leave the classroom. The treasure hunt will be done with words. Each group will have to find and classify the maximum number of nouns and verbs in different texts and sentences. You will create a large mural with the words found, forming a true "word cloud" that will represent the richness and the diversity of the Portuguese language.

Materials Required:

• Brown paper or large cardboard
• Colored pens
• Magazines, newspapers, or printed texts
• Scissors and glue

Step by Step:

1. Formation of Groups: Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group will be a team of word hunters.

2. Explanation of the Task: Explain the task to the students. They will have to read different texts and sentences and find the nouns and the verbs. It is important to remember that nouns are words that name things, people, places, feelings, qualities, and actions. And verbs are words that indicate actions, states, natural phenomena, and desires.

3. Preparation of the Mural: Each group will prepare a large mural with brown paper or cardboard. This will be the space where they will paste the words found.

4. Word Hunt: With scissors and glue in hand, the groups will begin the "word hunt". They can read stories, news, advertisements, magazines, newspapers, or even school activities to find the words. Each noun found must be written on a piece of colored paper and glued to the mural. In the same way, each verb found must be written on a piece of paper of another color and glued to the mural.
