Before we start, let's understand what the countryside and the city are like. The countryside is a rural area, further away from urban centers, where activities such as agriculture and livestock farming take place. In it, nature is the protagonist, with landscapes full of plantations, animals, and rivers.

On the other hand, the city is a place where people live, work, and have fun. It is an environment built by humans, with its buildings, streets, squares, parks, and all the hustle and bustle that goes with it. In the city, there is a great diversity of shops, industries, schools, hospitals, and many other things.

Introduction

The relationship between the countryside and the city is very important. It happens through the production of food, for example. In the countryside, farmers grow fruits, vegetables, greens, and raise animals that are then taken to the city and reach our tables. Have you ever thought about how the food you eat every day gets to you?

Moreover, the city also provides the countryside with things it needs, such as tools and products that help with agriculture. This is what we call countryside-city interdependence. This means that the countryside and the city depend on each other to survive.

Another important point is migration. Have you ever heard of this term? Migration is when a person leaves one place to live in another. In many cases, people migrate from the countryside to the city in search of better living conditions. This process brings changes to both the countryside, which loses manpower, and to the city, which needs to adapt to the increase in population.

Activity Title: "A Trip from the Countryside to the City"

Project Aim:

1. To understand the relationship between the countryside and the city and the interdependence between these two environments.
2. To understand the process of food production and the importance of the countryside to the city.
3. To reflect on the countryside-city migration and its consequences.

Project Description:

In this project, you will embark on a very special journey: a trip from the countryside to the city! We will divide the class into teams of 3 to 5 students, and each team will be responsible for creating a scene that represents the countryside and the city, in addition to creating a story that shows the relationship between these two places.

Necessary Materials:

1. Cardboard or large cardstock paper
2. Paints, colored pencils, markers
3. Scissors
4. Glue
5. Magazines for cutting out pictures (optional)
6. Recyclable materials (such as pet bottles, empty packaging, etc.)

Step by Step:

1. Team Formation: The teacher will divide the class into teams of 3 to 5 students. Each team will receive the necessary materials for the activity.

2. Scene Planning: Each team will draw two landscapes on the cardboard or cardstock paper: one representing the countryside and the other representing the city. You can use your creativity for that! Remember to include elements that we find in the countryside (plants, animals, rivers, etc.) and in the city (buildings, cars, people, etc.).

3. Story Creation: Now, with the two landscapes ready, it's time to tell a story! This story should show the relationship between the countryside and the city.
