Introduction
Equality is one of the basic operations of Mathematics and is one of the main tools we use to solve mathematical problems. When we talk about equality, we are saying that two things are exactly the same.
For example, 2 + 3 = 5. Here, the equal sign (=) tells us that the value on the left side of the equation (2 + 3) is the same as the value on the right side (5). And we can use this equality to solve problems. If we know that 2 + 3 = 5, we can find out that 5 - 3 = 2, or that 5 - 2 = 3.
But mathematics goes beyond! In addition to working with numbers, we can also use equality to solve problems with other things, such as geometric shapes, sets, and much more. And one of the coolest things about equality is that it works consistently, no matter what we are working on.

Project Objective
The objective of this project is to explore the concept of equality and practice basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Additionally, it aims to promote teamwork, creativity, problem-solving skills, and communication.
Project Description
Students, in groups of 3 to 5 members, will create and solve simple mathematical equations using everyday objects. They will record the equations created, the objects used, and the solutions found.

Step by Step

Group Formation: Students will be organized into groups of 3 to 5 members. Each group will receive the necessary materials.

Object Selection: Students will choose 5 everyday objects. These objects will be used to create the equations.

Equation Creation: In each team, one student will choose an object and write a simple equation with that object. For example, if the chosen object is an apple, the equation could be: 2 + 3 = 5. It is important to remember that the result of the equation must be the same on both sides.

Equation Solving: The other group members will solve the created equation. They can use the other objects and the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for this.
