In animals, there are three main types of excretion: ammoniotelic, ureotelic, and uricotelic.
Ammoniotelic excretion occurs in animals that live in aquatic environments, such as fish and some invertebrates. Ammonia, its main excreted substance, is highly toxic and soluble in water, being rapidly eliminated by the organism. Ureotelic excretion is common in mammals, adult amphibians, and some species of fish. Urea, less toxic than ammonia, requires less water for its elimination, which is advantageous in terrestrial environments. Finally, in uricotelic excretion, found in birds, reptiles, and insects, uric acid is excreted, a substance that is not very toxic and insoluble in water, saving even more of this resource.

Project Objective
At the end of this activity, you and your group (3 to 5 members) should be able to identify and differentiate the three main types of excretion in animals: ammoniotelic, ureotelic, and uricotelic. Additionally, you should understand how each type of excretion is related to the type of environment in which the animal lives.
Detailed Project Description
You will learn how different environments influence the type of excretion in animals, relating this to the adaptations these animals have developed to inhabit the places where they live.
First, divide into research teams. Each team will be responsible for studying one type of excretion and the animals that perform it.
After studying, you will create a digital repository, which can be a website, blog, or presentation, where you will gather all the information you have learned. Remember: the goal is to teach others what you have learned!
Finally, each team will create a quiz on the studied topic to challenge the other teams. The quizzes will be answered in the classroom so that everyone can learn together about the different types of excretion.

- Bibliography: Indicate the sources you relied on to work on the project such as books, web pages, videos, etc.
The report must be submitted one week after the activity is completed.
