Activity Title: Exploring the New World Order
Project Objective:
The proposed activity aims to deepen students' knowledge about the geopolitical, economic, social, and cultural transformations that have occurred since the end of the Cold War, which gave rise to the so-called New World Order. In addition, the activity seeks to develop research skills, teamwork, and critical reflection.
Detailed Project Description:
Students, organized in groups of 3 to 5 people, will be challenged to conduct an in-depth study on the New World Order. For this, each group must choose a specific topic to explore. Topics may include, but are not limited to, economic globalization, migratory flows, the rise of new superpowers, and disputes over natural resources.
An important aspect of the project is interdisciplinarity. In addition to Geography, students will need knowledge of History and Economics to understand the political and economic changes that occurred with the end of the USSR. Thus, students will have to use various sources of information, such as books, scientific articles, newspapers, online videos, among others.
During the project development, students will have to produce three main deliverables:

Conceptual Map: Using cartographic and iconographic language resources, students must create a conceptual map of their topic. This map should identify and connect the main concepts, events, and relevant actors for their theme.

Oral Presentation: Each group will present their results to the class. The presentation should last at least 15 minutes and, in addition to presenting the key concepts of the chosen topic, should also seek to establish relationships with the other themes studied by the class in the project.

Final Report: Finally, students will have to write a detailed report of their work. The document must contain an introduction, development, conclusion, and bibliography used, following the format of a scientific report.
