Project Objective

In this project, groups will research, debate, and present aspects of the culture, society, politics, and economy of the Roman Empire, with the aim of understanding its expansion and legacies.

Detailed Project Description

Each group will be responsible for a "sector" of the Roman Empire. These sectors are: Culture, Society, Politics, and Economy. From this, students will investigate and present the importance and impact of their respective sector on the growth and expansion of the Roman Empire, as well as its legacies for the present day.

• Books and reliable online sources for research
• Cardboards, colored pens, computers with presentation software (such as PowerPoint) for creating panels and slides

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Group Division and Sector Choice: Students should be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people. Each group will be assigned a sector to research (Culture, Society, Politics, or Economy).

2. Research: Each group must conduct in-depth research on their respective sector. Students are expected to seek information on how this sector influenced the expansion of the Roman Empire and what its main legacies are for the present day.

3. Material Preparation: After the research phase, groups must prepare a detailed panel or slide presentation to present the collected information.

4. Presentation: Each group must present their findings to the class. Presentations should be around 15 minutes long, followed by a question and answer session.

Project Deliverables

At the end of the project, each group must present:

1. Written Report: The report should be divided into four sections: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography.

   • Introduction: Description of the topic and the chosen sector, its relevance and real-world application, as well as the project's objectives.

   • Bibliography: Here, students should list all research sources, including books, web pages, documentaries, etc. It is important that all sources are reliable and relevant to the project.

2. Slide Presentation or Panel: Material created for the project presentation to the class. It should include relevant information about the chosen sector and the research findings.
