Project Objective
The objective of this activity is to have students research and discuss ethical dilemmas in imagined scientific scenarios. The intention is to help students better understand the ethical, cultural, religious, and freedom implications in science and technology, and how these dynamics can shape scientific practice.

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5. Each group must create an imagined scientific scenario, preferably in the future, involving a complex ethical dilemma. This scenario should be influenced by variables of ethics, freedom, culture, and religion.
For example, a scenario could be about the creation of superintelligent artificial intelligences that are conscious. The ethical dilemmas would involve questions like: Is it ethical to use these AIs in dangerous jobs? Will culture accept these conscious beings as equals? What is the position of various religions on this? And where does the freedom of these AIs stand?
