Contextualization
The study of the Spanish language, like any other language, goes far beyond simple knowledge of vocabulary; it is a deep dive into the grammatical structures that compose the language itself. Among these structures, pronouns are an essential component in constructing coherent and correct sentences. This project will delve deeper into a specific type of pronoun: the Object Pronoun.
Object pronouns, also known as object pronouns, are used to avoid excessive repetition of words in a sentence. In Spanish, they are mainly divided into two categories: direct object pronouns and indirect object pronouns. This concept is a pillar of Spanish grammar, being indispensable for effective and grammatically accurate communication.
Each type of object pronoun has a specific role in the sentence. Direct object pronouns replace the direct object, which is the direct recipient of the verb's action. On the other hand, indirect object pronouns replace the indirect object, which is the indirect beneficiary or recipient of the action. Having a solid understanding of when and how to use each type is essential for achieving fluency in Spanish.
The Spanish language is one of the most widely spoken in the world, with over 460 million native speakers and millions more who learn it as a second language. In this sense, learning Spanish can open doors to numerous opportunities, whether in the personal, professional or academic sphere. Furthermore, understanding object pronouns can help in understanding other grammatical topics, as many linguistic structures are interconnected.

Project Objective
The objective of this project is to enable students to understand and correctly use object pronouns in Spanish by creating dialogues and then presenting them in the form of a radio drama script. This project also aims to encourage teamwork and improve communication skills, time management and creativity.
Project Description
Each group of 3 to 5 students will have to create a script for a 5-10 minute radio drama, where the correct use of object pronouns in Spanish will be crucial for the development of the story. The radio drama can be of any genre (comedy, drama, horror, etc.) and should be presented to classmates and teachers at the end of the week. The project will be divided into 3 parts: Research and Study, Script Writing and Presentation Rehearsals.
Materials Required
- Book: "Gramática Ativa - Espanhol" by Isabel Coimbra and Olga Mata, Editora Lidel.
- Internet access
- Paper and pencil for drafting
- Computer or smartphone for recording the radio drama
Step by step
Part 1: Research and Study
In this step, students will delve deeper into the study of object pronouns. They can make use of the bibliographic resources suggested in the project's contextualization and also seek other resources they deem necessary. The group needs to divide responsibilities and ensure that all members understand the concept of object pronouns.
Part 2: Script Writing
Once they have a good understanding of the concept of object pronouns, students should begin writing the radio drama script. They should use the concept learned to create rich and engaging dialogue. An important point is that the group needs to ensure that the object pronouns are used correctly and in a way that influences the plot.
Part 3: Presentation Rehearsals
After completing the script, the groups will begin rehearsing the presentation of the radio drama. During rehearsals, students should work on the correct pronunciation of words and the appropriate intonation to give life to the script. At the end of the rehearsals, students should record the radio drama using a computer or smartphone.
Project and Written Document Delivery
The project submission consists of two parts: the recorded radio drama and the written report.
The recorded radio drama must be presented to the class and teacher at the end of the week.
The written report should contain the following topics:
- Introduction: Students will talk about the topic, its relevance and why they chose it for the radio drama story.
- Development: Here, students will explain more about the concept of object pronouns, the resources used to learn them, and the methodologies applied in creating the radio drama. They should also describe the plot of the radio drama and how the object pronouns were used in the story.
- Conclusions: Students will reflect on their experiences throughout the project, the challenges encountered, what they learned from the project, and how they improved their Spanish skills.
- Bibliography: All resources used during the project should be cited here.
The report should be submitted together with the radio drama, with both parts being essential for the final evaluation of the project.
