Project Objective

This project aims to provide students with the opportunity to explore the concept of situational reference in a practical way, interpreting different texts and creating their own situational references. This multidisciplinary project involves the disciplines of Portuguese and Sociology, integrating the concepts of language, context, ideology, and worldview.

Detailed Project Description

For the execution of this project, students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 people and will have to analyze different scenarios proposed by the teacher, containing texts from different sources (news, social media posts, diverse literature). The project will be executed in stages, allowing for a more detailed analysis of each scenario.

• Varied texts from different sources and language styles.
• Material for note-taking and organizing ideas (notebooks, post-its, highlighters, etc).
• Laptops or tablets for research and writing the final report.

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Initial Discussion and Group Division: The teacher should promote an initial discussion about the concept of situational reference and divide the class into groups.

2. Distribution of Scenarios: The teacher should distribute the scenarios containing the texts (one for each group). Each scenario should be distinct, with texts that allow for different interpretations depending on the context.

3. Analysis of Texts: Each group should analyze their scenario, identifying the context of each text and how it affects its interpretation.

4. Creation of New Situational References: Next, the groups should create their own situational references based on their scenarios, changing the context of the texts to create new meanings.

5. Debate and Presentation: Each group should present their analyses and new situational references to the class for debate and discussion.

6. Writing the Final Report: Finally, each group should write a detailed report explaining the entire project process, from the initial discussion to the final presentation.

At the end of the project, in addition to presenting the situational references, each group must deliver a detailed report containing:
