Introduction

This project is dedicated to the study of three iconic figures in philosophy and psychoanalysis: Immanuel Kant, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, and Sigmund Freud. Each of these men has their own unique philosophy, with important contributions to our understanding of the world.

Kant is considered one of the most influential thinkers of the modern era. He is famous for his views on morality and ethics, especially his theory of the categorical imperative, which insists that actions should be taken based on the principle that guides them, not their consequences.

Hegel, on the other hand, is known for his dialectical philosophy and his theory that reality is the result of historical processes resulting from conflicts and resolutions of contradictory ideas (thesis, antithesis, synthesis).

Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, revolutionized the field of psychology with the introduction of concepts such as the division of the psyche into Id, Ego, and Superego, and the importance of dreams and the unconscious.

Contextualization

These ideas and theories still hold great relevance today. Kantian ethics provide a foundation for many of our moral norms and laws. Hegel's dialectical thinking is present in many historical and contemporary societal analyses, and Freud's insights into the human mind have profound implications for psychology and self-perception.

Through this project, you will be able to explore these ideas from a collaborative and creative perspective, working in groups to understand and present the key concepts of these philosophers. Philosophy may seem abstract and distant, but by relating it to current problems and issues, you can see how relevant and applicable it can be in the real world.

Practical Activity

Activity Title: "Philosophical Theater: Dramatizing Kant, Hegel, and Freud"

Project Objective

The activity aims to deepen students' understanding of the main ideas and thoughts of Kant, Hegel, and Freud through a creative and collaborative project. Students will develop and perform a play that brings to life the main ideas of the philosophers. Additionally, students should also write a detailed report reflecting their understanding of the project.

Detailed Project Description

Students will be divided into groups of 3 to 5 students. Each group should choose two or three central ideas from each philosopher (Kant, Hegel, and Freud) to explore in the play. The group should then research these ideas, discuss them, and create a play that represents them in a creative and elaborate way. The play should last between 15 to 20 minutes.

Necessary Materials

• Books and online resources for research
• Materials for set and costumes, such as paper, fabrics, various objects, etc. (according to the group's creativity)
• Camera or smartphone for recording the play (optional)

Step by Step

1. Discussion and Research: Discuss as a group the main ideas of each philosopher and choose which ones will be represented in the play. Research deeply about them.

2. Play Sketch: Develop a script. Identify the characters, the plot, and how the philosophical ideas will be presented.

3. Preparation: Set up the stage, costumes, and any necessary materials for the play.

4. Rehearsal: Rehearse the play. Remember that practice makes perfect!

5. Presentation: Perform the play for the class or record it to watch later.

In addition to the play, groups should prepare a detailed report following the four main topics: Introduction, Development, Conclusions, and Bibliography. This report should reflect the group's understanding and reflection on the philosophical ideas presented.

1. Introduction: Provide context for the chosen philosophical ideas. Why were they chosen? What is their relevance in the current world?

2. Development: Explain the philosophical ideas in detail. How were they represented in the play? How did the group arrive at this representation?

3. Conclusions: Summarize the main points of the project. What was learned? What is the importance of this learning?

4. Bibliography: List the sources used in the research for the project.
