Practical Activity - "Operational Orational"

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to familiarize students with subordinate adverbial clauses, recognizing them in various texts and creating their own sentences using this grammatical structure.

Project Description

Divided into groups of 3 to 5 people, students will have to perform three main tasks. For each of them, they should record their discoveries and reflections in a collective report.

Step by Step

Task 1: Recognition of Adverbial Clauses

In this task, groups will research and collect, in various texts (books, newspapers, magazines, web pages), examples of subordinate adverbial clauses. Each group must collect at least 10 examples, identify the type of adverbial clause (cause, time, place, etc.), and explain how this clause contributes to the overall meaning of the sentence.

Task 2: Creation of Adverbial Clauses

Groups must create their own sentences using different subordinate adverbial clauses. Each group must create a minimum of 10 sentences, where each one must contain a different type of adverbial clause.

Task 3: Reflection

After collecting and creating sentences, groups should discuss the importance of subordinate adverbial clauses for the formation of complex and well-structured sentences. Reflection should be made on how the use of these clauses enriches the meaning and understanding of texts, whether in production or interpretation.

Project Deliverables

Students must deliver, at the end of the project, a report that includes the following sections:

1. Introduction: Students must introduce the concept of subordinate adverbial clauses, their importance, and the objectives of the project carried out.

2. Development: Should contain a detailed description of each of the three project tasks, with examples collected and created by the students and the reflection carried out by the group.

3. Conclusions: Students must present their conclusions from the activities performed, highlighting what they learned throughout the project and the importance of correctly using adverbial clauses.

4. Bibliography: Students must list all materials and sources used throughout the project.
