In this project, we will explore four of these terms: the adnominal adjunct, the adverbial adjunct, the appositive, and the vocative, diving into the softness of words and unraveling the wonders of our language.

Theoretical Introduction

Adnominal Adjunct is the term that determines, specifies, or clarifies the meaning of a noun, regardless of the function it performs in the sentence. Adverbial Adjunct is a term in the sentence that indicates circumstance and, for this reason, ends up modifying the meaning of a verb, an adjective, an adverb, or even the entire sentence. Appositive is the term that joins another term of substantive value or pronoun to explain or specify it better. Vocative is the independent term in the sentence, used to call, invoke, or address someone.

Importance of Accessory Terms of the Sentence

The importance of these terms in everyday communication is often underestimated. They are the pillars of our written and spoken expression, adding details and nuances to what we want to convey. Learning to identify and use these terms correctly can significantly improve how we express ourselves and communicate, whether in formal or informal situations.

Using these terms correctly is also an important step for those who wish to achieve a high score on exams such as the ENEM or college entrance exams, as the ability to analyze and produce complex texts is often tested in these situations. Furthermore, this knowledge is vital for those who wish to pursue careers in which written communication and text analysis are crucial, such as law, journalism, pedagogy, among others.

Practical Activity

Activity Title: The Magic of the Accessory Terms of the Sentence in Comics.

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to apply knowledge about accessory terms of the sentence in a fun and creative way. Students will create a Comic Strip (CS) using adnominal adjunct, adverbial adjunct, appositive, and vocative terms correctly and creatively.

Detailed Project Description:

Groups must produce a CS using the accessory terms of the sentence. The theme of the story is free, however, it must be ensured that all terms (adnominal adjunct, adverbial adjunct, appositive, and vocative) are highlighted in the narrative. Each group must produce at least 5 pages of the story and identify and highlight at least 10 examples of the use of the terms studied.

Required Materials:

1. Paper and pen for drafting.
2. Drawing or comic software (optional).
3. Books and online resources for consultation and deepening.

Step-by-Step Guide for Activity Execution:

1. Form your group of 3 to 5 students.
2. Discuss and define the story that will be presented in the CS.
3. Delimit the dialogues and situations where the accessory terms of the sentence will be inserted.
4. Sketch the panels of your comic story.
5. Review the dialogues and the story together, ensuring that all terms were addressed correctly.
6. Finalize your CS, using drawing software or by hand.
7. Identify and highlight at least 10 examples of the use of the studied terms in the dialogues.
8. Present your CS to the class, explaining the choices and applications of the accessory terms of the sentence.

At the end of the project, students must produce a written document with the following format:
