This is when an important mathematical concept comes into play: the Rule of Three Indirect.

It is widely used in various calculations and everyday situations. Project Objective
The objective of this project is to put the concepts of the Rule of Three Indirect into practice in a playful and engaging way, through the organization of an "Imaginary Party".
Project Description
Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5 members, will plan an imaginary party. The challenge will be: as the number of guests increases or decreases, how will this inversely influence some aspects of the party, such as duration or space required? The idea is for students to use the rule of three indirect to solve these and other questions.
Necessary Materials
- Paper and pen for notes and calculations.
- Calculator (optional).
- Computer with internet access for research.
Step by Step
- Divide the class into groups of 3 to 5 students.
- Explain the project's objective and rules.
- Each group should imagine they are organizing a party. They should consider factors such as: quantity of food and drinks, size of the space, duration of the party, number of guests, and other relevant aspects.
- The groups should think of situations involving the rule of three indirect, such as: If the number of guests increases, will the space required for the party decrease or increase? If the party lasts longer, should the amount of food and drinks be less or more?
- Each group should make the necessary calculations to solve these situations, using the rule of three indirect.
- After completing the calculations, each group should present their conclusions to the class.
After the practical activity, the groups should produce a report, which will serve as a document for recording and reflecting on what was learned. This report should be divided into the following sections:
- Introduction: The group should contextualize the theme, explain why it is relevant and how it applies in the real world. In addition, students should describe the project's objective and what they expected to learn from it.
- Development: In this section, students should explain the step by step of their activities, including the theory about the rule of three indirect, how they applied this concept in practice, and what calculations they performed. It is important to show the results obtained and the discussion they had based on them.
- Conclusion: Here, students should summarize the main points of the work and explain what they learned from the activity, reflecting on the importance of the rule of three indirect in their lives.
- Bibliography: Students should indicate the sources they relied on to work on the project, which may include books, web pages, videos, among others.
The project should be delivered after a week, and each student should have dedicated between two and four hours to complete the work.
