It is also widely used in signs and warnings such as 'Pull', 'Push', 'Do not exceed'. Even in advertising, the use of the imperative is common to influence and persuade people to take actions, such as buying a product or service.

Project Description

Each group will be responsible for creating a short theater script to represent a daily life situation that involves the use of the imperative mood in standard and colloquial varieties. The script should contain dialogues that demonstrate the correct use of the imperative mood in both varieties, as well as real situations where it is present.

Additionally, each group will present the script to the class, where students will have the opportunity to put the studied content into practice.

Required Materials

1. Paper and pen for writing the script.
2. Set and costume (optional, and subject to each group's possibilities).
3. Internet access for research and consultation of theoretical material.

Detailed Step-by-Step

1. Formation of groups of 3 to 5 students.

2. Study of the theme 'Imperative Mood in standard and colloquial varieties', using the suggested resources and others deemed appropriate.

3. Brainstorming of ideas for the theater script. The proposal is that the script be set in a situation from the students' daily lives, where the use of the imperative mood is natural and necessary.

4. Write the script, ensuring to include both uses of the imperative (standard and colloquial). The script should contain the names of the characters, their lines, and the actions they will perform on stage.

5. Review of the script by the group and, if possible, by the teacher.

6. Preparation for the presentation: define who will represent each character and conduct rehearsals.

7. Theater presentation to the class.

Project Deliverables

At the end of the project, each group must deliver:

1. The theater script, with a clear indication of the imperative mood commands used and the situations in which they were applied.

2. A project report, containing the following topics:

   • Introduction: Should contain a contextualization of the imperative mood, its relevance and application in the real world, and the project objectives.

   • Development: Should explain the theory behind the imperative mood in its two varieties, detail the activity carried out, the methodology used, and the discussion of the results obtained.

   • Conclusions: Should present the learnings obtained and the conclusions drawn about the project.

   • Bibliography: Should list the sources used for research and project execution, such as books, websites, videos, etc.
