Furthermore, through it, it is possible to express feelings and emotions, as well as to intensify the transmitted message. It may seem simple, but the use of the vocative says a lot about the relationship between the people involved in the communication.

However, despite being quite common, especially in informal conversations, the vocative is often used incorrectly. For its use to be correct and effective, it is necessary to understand its rules and characteristics, such as the need to always come isolated by commas.

Understanding and correctly using the vocative are essential for polished and appropriate writing and speech. Furthermore, the vocative is a powerful tool that can transform the way we communicate and express ourselves. In literature, for example, the use of the vocative plays a crucial role, being used to bring emotion and personality to the characters and the text.

Practical Activity: "The Theater of Vocatives"

"The Theater of Vocatives"

Project Objective:

Develop theoretical and practical understanding of the correct use of vocatives, working in groups, deepening research, creativity, interpretation skills, writing, and oral expression. Additionally, interconnect with the Arts discipline by creating the theater piece.

Detailed Project Description:

Students, divided into groups of 3 to 5, should produce a theater piece that explores the use of vocatives in Portuguese. The script must be created by them, incorporating different types of vocatives in the text. There should be a prior research on the correct use of vocatives, highlighting situations where the correct use favors the interpretation of the message.

The project will last for 1 month, where students should divide the period into: research, script development, rehearsals, and presentation. The theater piece must have a minimum duration of 15 minutes and a maximum of 30 minutes.

In addition to the theatrical piece, each group must present a detailed report with the theory about the vocative, its application in the script of the piece, the group's work methodology, and the conclusions of the learning. The report must be submitted in print.

• Paper and pen for the script.
• Equipment for recording and presenting the theatrical piece.
