Assumptions: This Active Lesson Plan assumes: a 100-minute class, prior student study with both the Book and the start of Project development, and that only one activity (among the three suggested) will be chosen to be conducted during the class, as each activity is designed to take up a significant portion of the available time.

The Development stage is designed to allow students to practically and interactively apply the previously studied concepts about using the dictionary and understanding different meanings of words in varied contexts. This stage aims to consolidate acquired knowledge and prepare students to use the dictionary more effectively in their reading and writing activities.

• Each group will present their findings, and the class will discuss the results, checking if the contexts proposed by the groups make sense.

Activity 2 - Synonym and Antonym Olympics

> Duration: (60 - 70 minutes)

- Objective: Enhance the ability to find synonyms and antonyms, expanding vocabulary and understanding how words are used in different contexts.

- Description: Students will participate in a fun competition to find synonyms and antonyms of words in a dictionary. This activity aims to strengthen students' vocabulary and their ability to discern nuances of meaning.

- Instructions:

• Form groups of up to 5 students.

• Hand each group a list of words. Each group must use the dictionary to find as many synonyms and antonyms for each word as possible.

• Groups will have a limited time for research. This time can be divided into two equal parts, one for synonyms and another for antonyms.

• At the end of the time, each group will present their words and the synonyms and antonyms they found.

• Score each correct answer, with more points for more accurate and varied synonyms and antonyms.

Activity 3 - Word Theater

- Objective: Explore the application of words in different contexts through a playful activity that also promotes theatrical skills and creativity.
