  • Ask each group to choose a theme for their comic book. They can be inspired by current topics such as sustainability, bullying, friendship, etc.

  • Each group must take photos using social media filters that match the chosen theme.

  • Then, students will use free image editing apps (like Canva or Pixlr) to add speech bubbles and other typical comic book elements.

Feedback

Duration: (15 - 20 minutes)

The purpose of this lesson plan stage is to provide a moment of collective reflection where students can share their experiences and learnings, as well as receive valuable feedback from their peers. This process not only reinforces learning but also promotes social and communication skills, which are essential in collaborative environments.

Group Discussion

🔄 Group Discussion: Promote an open conversation circle involving all groups. Use the following script as a guide to introduce the discussion:

  1. Introduction: Congratulate students on the work done and emphasize the importance of sharing learnings and experiences.
  2. Sharing: Invite each group to briefly present their comic books, highlighting interesting or challenging aspects of the creation.
  3. Learnings: Ask groups what they learned about comic books during the activity and how the creative process was for them.
  4. Conclusion: Encourage students to reflect on the skills developed and how these can be applied in other contexts, both academic and personal.

Reflections

1. 🎨 What did you learn about the characteristics of comic books while creating your own comic books? 2. 🤔 How did the visual and textual choices affect the narrative of your comic books? 3. 💬 What were the biggest challenges you faced during the creation and how did you overcome them?

360° Feedback

🌟 360° Feedback: Instruct students to participate in a 360° feedback round where each group member must share a constructive observation about their peers' work. To ensure productive and respectful feedback, guide the class to follow these guidelines:

  1. Specificity: Be specific when giving feedback. Instead of saying 'You did a good job', detail what was particularly good.
  2. Constructiveness: Keep the feedback positive and provide suggestions for future improvements.
  3. Respect: Always maintain a respectful and supportive tone.

Conclusion

Duration: (10 - 15 minutes)

🎯 Purpose: The purpose of this stage is to reinforce the main learnings in a relaxed manner, connect the lesson with the modern context of students, and highlight the practical relevance of the skills developed.
