Development

Duration: 75 to 85 minutes

This stage aims to position students as protagonists of their learning by using modern technologies and dynamics to apply knowledge of syllable division. Through practical and creative activities, we seek to engage students meaningfully, connecting learning to the digital context in which they are inserted.

Activity Suggestions

It is recommended that only one of the suggested activities be carried out

Activity 1 - Syllabic Storytelling on Social Media 🚀

> Duration: 60 to 70 minutes

- Objective: Utilize active methodology through the creation of digital content, encouraging students to apply syllable division in a practical and modern way.

- Description: Students will create a storytelling series for social media posts that explains syllable division in a creative and engaging way. Each group will choose a complex word and create a sequence of posts that break down the word into syllables, using short videos, images, and captivating texts.

- Instructions:

  • Divide the class into groups of up to 5 students.

  • Each group will choose a complex word, which will be provided by the teacher, or a word of their choice approved by the teacher.

  • Groups must create a sequence of posts for social media (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) using short videos, images, and texts that explain the syllable division of the chosen word.

  • Use video/photo editing apps available on their phones to make the content visually appealing and educational.

  • Publish the posts on a class profile created specifically for this activity, if possible, or share them with the teacher.

  • Each group must present its series of posts to the class, explaining the creative process and the choices made.

Activity 2 - Interactive Quiz: Masters of Syllables 🎮

> Duration: 60 to 70 minutes

- Objective: Encourage active and collaborative learning through a healthy competition, promoting the application of syllable division knowledge in a playful and interactive format.

- Description: Students will participate in a gamified interactive quiz using a digital platform (e.g., Kahoot, Socrative) to challenge their knowledge of syllable division. The quiz will include questions that require the correct separation of words into syllables, as well as challenges involving syllable division rules.

- Instructions:

  • Divide the class into groups of up to 5 students.

  • The teacher will set up an interactive quiz on the chosen platform, with questions related to syllable division.

  • Groups will use their phones or computers to access the platform and participate in the quiz.

  • Students must select the correct answer to each question, accumulating points as they answer correctly.

  • At the end of the quiz, the group with the highest score will be declared the winner and will receive a symbolic reward (e.g., certificate, applause from the class).

  • The teacher will review with the class, highlighting the most important points and clarifying any doubts.

Activity 3 - Syllabic Influencers 🌟

> Duration: 60 to 70 minutes

- Objective: Encourage students' creativity and communication skills, using the digital influencer format to teach syllable division concepts in an engaging and modern way.

  • The videos will be presented to the class, with each group explaining their approach and the main points addressed.

  • The teacher may share the best videos on an online platform of the school or a social media profile of the class (with proper authorization).

Feedback

Duration: 20 to 25 minutes

The purpose of this stage is to consolidate learning by promoting the exchange of experiences and reflections among students. By sharing challenges and discoveries, students have the opportunity to reinforce what they learned, identify areas for improvement, and value the contributions of their peers. The 360° feedback offers a space for self-assessment and growth through peer perspectives, strengthening communication and collaboration skills.

Group Discussion

Facilitate a group discussion where each group will have the opportunity to share what they learned by performing the class activities. Suggest that groups present both the challenges and discoveries they made during the storytelling, the interactive quiz, or the digital influencer video recording. Use the following script to introduce the discussion: 'Let's share our experiences and what we learned today. Each group has a few minutes to talk about the activities we conducted, the challenges faced, and the discoveries made. I would like everyone to pay attention to what their classmates have to say because we can learn a lot from each other.' Encourage active participation and respect for the time and opinions of peers.

Reflections

1. What was the biggest difficulty you faced while performing today's activities? 2. How did the use of social media and digital technologies help to better understand syllable division? 3. What did you learn from your classmates that can be applied to future studies or activities?

360° Feedback

Instruct students to conduct a 360° feedback stage. Each student should provide constructive feedback to their group colleagues. Guide the class to ensure that feedback is always respectful and focused on specific aspects of the work done. Use the following points to guide the feedback: 'I liked the way you...', 'I found it interesting when you...', 'It could improve if you...'. Emphasize the importance of highlighting both positive points and areas for improvement.

Conclusion

Duration: 10 to 15 minutes

The purpose of this stage is to consolidate and reflect on the learning acquired throughout the class. By making a fun summary and contextualizing the importance of the topic in today's world, we seek to reinforce knowledge in a light and creative way, encouraging students to see the practical relevance of the content studied in their daily lives.
