Objectives

The purpose of this stage of the Socioemotional Lesson Plan is to provide students with a clear and detailed understanding of the human excretory system. By describing and understanding the organs and their functions, students will be able to recognize the importance of this system in the human body, promoting both academic knowledge and the development of self-awareness and social consciousness skills. This will help students relate the content to their own bodily and emotional experiences, creating a more meaningful and integrated learning environment.

2. Understand the importance of the excretory system in the human body and the types of excreta it releases.

Introduction

Duration: 15 to 20 minutes

Emotional Warm-up Activity

Focus and Clarity with Guided Breathing 🌬️🧘‍♂️

Deep Breathing and Creative Visualization

1. Ask students to sit comfortably in their chairs, with their feet flat on the ground and their hands resting on their thighs.

2. Explain that they will do a deep breathing activity followed by creative visualization to help focus the mind and relax the body.

3. Start the activity by asking students to close their eyes and begin deep breathing through their noses, filling their abdomen with air, and then slowly exhaling through their mouths. Repeat this 3 times.

4. Now, ask students to imagine a bright, warm light starting at the top of their heads and slowly descending through their bodies, relaxing each muscle as it passes.

5. Guide them to focus on the sensation of relaxation and well-being that this light brings, visualizing it until it reaches their feet.

6. After a few minutes, ask students to slowly open their eyes, bringing the feeling of calm and clarity into the upcoming lesson.

The excretory system is essential for maintaining health and balance in the human body. It is responsible for eliminating waste and toxins that, if accumulated, can cause serious health problems. An interesting example is how our skin, one of the excretory organs, reacts when we are nervous or stressed, producing excessive sweat.
