Emotional Warm-up Activity

Guided Meditation for Focus and Presence

The chosen emotional warm-up activity is Guided Meditation, which aims to help students focus, be present, and concentrate better in class. This practice involves directing students' attention in a calm and controlled manner, promoting a receptive and tranquil mental state. Guided meditation is a powerful technique to reduce stress and anxiety, creating an environment conducive to learning and the development of socioemotional skills.

1. Preparing the Environment: Ask students to sit comfortably, with their backs straight and feet flat on the floor. Ensure that the environment is quiet and calm.

2. Beginning the Meditation: Instruct students to close their eyes and place their hands comfortably on their laps.

3. Initial Breathing: Guide them to start with three deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth, to relax their body and mind.
