Project Objective

The objective of our project is to create a daily life scenario involving fractions and, from there, explore the comparison between fractions.

Project Description

You, in groups of 3 to 5 students, will create a situation from daily life that involves the use of fractions. For example, you can simulate a pizza party, where each student is responsible for a part of the pizza and must share with the classmates. Then, you will compare the fractions of pizza that each one ate and discuss who ate more or less.

Necessary Materials

1. Cardboards or card paper
2. Colorful pens or colored pencils
3. Blunt scissors
4. Glue
5. Magazines (for cutting out images, if necessary)

Step by Step

1. Group Formation: Students form groups of 3 to 5 members.

2. Choosing the Situation: Each group chooses a daily life situation that involves fractions. It can be a pizza party, a cake that needs to be divided, a trip that needs to be planned, among others.
