The Portuguese language is rich and complex, and to master it, it is necessary to understand various concepts, including syllables, vowel clusters, and consonant clusters. These elements are the basis for writing and reading, being essential for the comprehension and production of texts. Let's explore each of these concepts in detail:

Syllables are the smallest phonetic unit that can be pronounced in a single voice impulse. It is from the union of syllables that we form words. Correct syllable division is important not only for writing but also for the correct pronunciation of words.

Vowel clusters are the combination of two or more vowels in the same word. They can be divided into diphthongs (when a semivowel and a vowel are together in the same syllable), triphthongs (when a diphthong is in the same syllable as a vocal phoneme), and hiatus (when two vowels are side by side but in separate syllables).

Consonant clusters occur when two or more consonants meet in a word, and they can be in the same syllable (consonant digraphs) or in different syllables.

Beyond their direct applications in writing and reading, these concepts are present in our daily lives in various ways. Knowing them allows us to better understand the structure of the Portuguese language and helps us communicate more efficiently. Furthermore, these concepts are used in various fields such as poetry, music, literature, and advertising, for example.

In this project, you will have the opportunity to delve into these concepts and carry out a group work that involves collaboration, creativity, and communication. We will be together on this journey of discovery and learning!

To prepare, I suggest the following resources:

Practical Activity: "Exploring Syllables, Vowel and Consonant Clusters"

Project Objective

The objective of this project is to consolidate the knowledge about syllables, vowel clusters, and consonant clusters through a practical, playful, and collaborative activity.

Detailed Project Description

The students, divided into groups of 3 to 5 members, will carry out a field research where they will identify words with different vowel and consonant clusters and syllable divisions. Subsequently, they will create a game that consolidates the knowledge of these concepts.

Required Materials

1. Paper and pen for notes
2. Computer with internet access for research
3. Various materials for making the game (depending on the type of game chosen by the group: cardboard, chips, colored paper, etc.)
4. Camera (can be a cellphone camera) for documenting the activity

Activity Steps

1. Study of Concepts: First and foremost, each group must study the concepts of syllables, vowel clusters, and consonant clusters. This can be done through the resources suggested in the project introduction.

2. Field Research: After studying the concepts, the students will go in search of words that exemplify these concepts in the real world. It can be on signs, billboards, books, magazines, songs, etc. At least 50 words should be collected.

3. Study of Words: Back in the classroom, each group will analyze the collected words, identify the vowel and consonant clusters present, and correctly divide the syllables.

4. Game Creation: Based on the collected words, each group will create a game that involves the studied concepts. It can be a board game, a card game, a memory game, among others. However, the game must be structured in such a way that to advance or win, players must correctly identify the syllables, vowel clusters, or consonant clusters of the words.

5. Testing and Adjustments: The groups will test their games and make necessary adjustments for proper functioning.

6. Final Presentation: Finally, the groups will present their games to the class, explain the rules, and have a round of games.

Project Delivery

After all project stages, each group must submit a written report. The report should contain the following sections:

1. Introduction: Contextualization of the theme, its relevance, real-world application, project objective, and motivation.
2. Development: Detailed description of the field research and the words found. Explanation of the theory behind the study of words. Detailed description of the game creation process, its rules, and operation. Methodology used. Discussion of the results obtained.
3. Conclusion: Recap of the main points, lessons learned, and conclusions drawn from the project.
4. Bibliography: References to the sources used for the project.

Remember, the report should fit with the practice that was carried out, the dynamics of group work, the game development, and the conclusions drawn from the experience.

Delivery Schedule: You have a total of one month to complete the entire project, including the final report.
